These handcrafted pieces of jewelry are so fun to wear for a night on the town, at the office, or running errands. Tiny glass beads and Swarovski crystals catch even the tiniest amount of light resulting in an array of complements on your earrings, necklace, or bracelet. What makes these pieces even better is that Firefly jewelry is handcrafted in Guatemala under fair trade conditions! They provide employment and training in comfortable working conditions, with fair wages, to the indigenous people of Santiago Atatlan, Guatemala. The workshop employs over 80 skilled artisans, both men and women. The indigenous people of the village are very skilled in their traditional arts; the women weave on the backstrap loom and are skilled in embroidery, and the men weave on foot looms and are skilled in making fishing nets. Firefly took many of these traditional skills and transformed them into jewelry making skills. The workshop is spacious and filled with skylights and windows, and every artisan has their own worktable and light. It is even built around a plant and flower filled courtyard, with their ever-vigilant Terriers, Ricky and Rock, around to greet the workers and roam the gardens.

All posts are made of surgical steel, while the french shepherd hook ear wires are either sterling silver or gold fill, and the lever back ear wires are either brass with silver plate or antiqued brass.
